Needless to say our hearts go out to everyone involved in last nights attack in Manchester.
Going to a gig should be a celebration of all that is good in life, for people to not make it home ever again is truly heartbreaking.

Scott BamfordDid you see Dave Mustaines /Megadeth's tribute? In fairness he does say he sings nothing like Chris Cornell. I don't doubt his sincerity but his opening monologue has the vocal mannerisms and inflections of Donald Trump. Oh dear, I couldn't watch the whole song and defy anyone to do so. He looks and sounds like he is trying to pass a particularly solid turd. The band also murder the song. Enjoy? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zzb_dg9e9Sw

Keeping the theme of Mental Health Awareness Week:

The Man Who Became Himself

Take a step inside don't hide don't look back
Know yourself and you will know your way out
That's who you want people to see
Need to change before you becomes "we"
Tiring and pointless all the fucking time
Mindless behavior that plays out every day
Trying to convince everyone that you're OK
This is unsustainable you need to stop the pain

Time to stop lying, stop lying
Time to stop lying to myself
Time to start living, start living
Time to start living with myself

Counter attacker –
Back stabber - is what you are becoming
You can't be beaten if you're doing all the beating
Your arrogance worn like a suit of Armour
Your fake self confidence is self defeating
It's hard to change this lifetime of denial
Face off with yourself and dare to lose
Tried to put it off for far too fucking long
And justify with another excuse

Paralyse –
All the lies - are mounting up about you
Everything you say and everything you think or do
Life traps are there just waiting suck you in
Others avoid them but will fall again
Nothing but letting go will help you heal
Nothing but looking inwards that's the deal
Gut wrenching horror of a complex human mind
Too Scared to look around and fear..... what you’ll find

It's - Time to stop lying, stop lying
Time to stop lying to myself
Time to start living, start living
Time to start living with myself

Simon C GodwinAs I said on the original post: Acid Reign all the way. That's not to say the Xentrix album is pants, because it's quite obviously not. But for me, the Acid Reign album wins it because it is unique, and it doesn't sound like anyone else. It's very BRITISH sounding and very original. Where-as the 'Trix album is highly derivative of the whole Bay-Area sound, even down to the production. That's my opinion anyway. Cheers. πŸ™‚

Jez HarrisonDifficult one that, both had a huge influence on my teenage years - I'd have to go for Xentrix because they were support for Slammer at my first ever gig and I fizzled off like an escaped catherine-wheel to buy the album the very next day. Sadly I never got to see Acid Reign back in the day and because I detest festivals I probably never will, unless I'm extremely lucky.
